Completed in 2008, the proposal comprises a roof extension to a two storey, two and a half bedrooms terraced family house.
Located in the Wimbledon Park Road Conservation Area, the proposal facilitates one new bedroom with an en-suite bathroom to accommodate the needs of a growing family.
The existing pitched roof towards Wincanton Road has been retained. The pitch towards the back has been replaced with a mansard roof including a wide modern dormer and the existing ridge and eaves levels have been retained as existing. A new roof light has been installed in the street slope, opening-up the roof towards the South and capturing additional sun light.
The small study, with its door at first floor level, has been sacrificed for the stair case to the new bedroom, those avoiding the creation of an enclosed stair and landing at top floor level.
